Office Transformation with HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams

For me 2020 is all about organizing and decluttering. I’m not one to set resolutions because I rarely stick to them but the start of a new year always has me urning for fresh and new spaces. I’m so excited to have been sponsored by HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams to bring a new luxurious feel to our former playroom.

I purged all the toys and clutter and reclaimed this space as my office! No need to worry the kids will have their space, its just being relocated. The room that was home to our playroom is located on our main level and just to the left as you walk through our front entrance. I’ve long wanted this space to be an eye catcher rather than a catch all for the kids toys and trinkets. So it was more than welcomed when the opportunity to transform this room came about.

The 2020 Color Collection of the Year, Simply Blissful by HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams was the inspiration for the design concept of this room. Its a palette of 10 tranquil colors that can be mixed and matched in any combination to create a designer-inspired look. With warm neutrals and jewel tones its easy to create a relaxing oasis at home with the Simply Blissful Color Collection.

Since I hadn’t had a dedicated office space for quite some time, creating an area that was both inspiring and calming was a must. For this space, I knew I wanted a bold feature wall. Blue Endeavour (HGSW1451) was an eye catching choice for the feature wall. Adding vertical shiplap and painting it with this perfect navy tone only added to the interest of the feature wall. To compliment my bold color choice, I chose something a bit more subtle, Fundamental White (HGSW4001), for the 3 remaining walls and trim. The Simply Blissful Color Collection provided both the bold and neutral colors I desired.

To finish off this room I utilized furniture and accessories from other areas of our home. It’s always a plus when a pieces can find new life in another space! By pulling in greens, blues, and neutral tones I was able to easily integrate other hues from the Simply Blissful Color Collection to create a cohesive feel.

What I love most about this color collection is that all of the colors in the palette work so beautifully together. Making it very easy to pull inspiration for your decor and even furniture. For instance, I was able to incorporate Gristmill Greige (HGSW2458) with the color choice of the drapes used in this room. Island Time (HGSW2312) can be seen on the binding of some of the old books I utilized as decor accents. And there’s hints of Finian Blue (HGSW2384) throughout the larger area rug.

Not only did HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams do a fantastic job creating such a lovely and cohesive color palette with Simply Blissful, they’ve formulated a paint that is beautiful to work with. Being one that constantly loves change in my interior environment, I’ve used many paints before but this is by far my favorite. The Infinity Interior Paint offers one coat coverage that’s effortless and time saving. The paint goes on smooth and dries to a flawless finish. The consistency is one that minimizes dripping, which is a huge plus for messy ole me. That means no having to clean up the floor from drips afterwards. And more time to enjoy your finished project!

Paint is such a powerful element to design, yet so easy to update. HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams makes it fun and effortless to transform any space with their 2020 Color Collection of the Year, Simply Blissful! I cannot wait to dream up many other design ideas in my new office space!!

I Love the color. Is the ceiling fundamental white also?

I’m not certain of the white color on the ceiling. I think it might just be an off the shelf white ceiling paint.
