Cinnamon Swirl French Toast

French Toast has been a long time favorite at breakfast time. As a kid, I remember being so excited for Saturday morning breakfast time. We’d sleep in and wake up to my dad whipping up some special treat for breakfast. French Toast was always the best though!

Now that I have my own family, I love creating Saturday morning memories and breakfast is a big part of that. I’ve passed on my love for French Toast to my daughters. Well French Toast and pancakes but French Toast just seems more special, a bit more fancy. So I’ve created a fun take on this classic recipe.

What You’ll Need

  • Thomas’ Swirl Bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • toppings of choice

Combine eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Soak bread in egg mixture. Cook on medium heat in pan or on a griddle. I prefer using a griddle as it yields more slices at once. Top with your favorite toppings. We love sliced banana, chocolate chips, powdered sugar, and shaved almonds. Add syrup and enjoy?

My girls love this breakfast option especially being able to add their own toppings. Being a mom of picky eaters, its a win when they get excited for breakfast. I’d love for you to share some of your favorite breakfast ideas.
