Im sharing a no fail meatball recipe that the whole family will love. Plus 3 different meal ideas using these kid approved meatballs, thanks to Samsung Home Appliances. This post is in collaboration with Samsung Home Appliances, all thoughts and opinions are that of my own.
With the kitchen being the most popular spot in our home, I’m thankful to have our 4-door French Door Refrigerator from Samsung Home Appliances. Theres enough storage space for my family of four and tons of neat features like the FlexZone Drawer.
The FlexZone Drawer is one of my favorite features. It offers 4 different temperature settings including a cold drinks and deli snack setting. This makes storing your favorite things at just the right temperature a breeze. I love to fill this space with drinks and snacks for the kids. The drawer is the perfect height for their little hands to just grab and go.
Another feature I really love that’s offered by the Samsung 4-Door French Door Refrigerator is the adjustable shelves which make it so easy to fill your fridge with items of different heights. There’s plenty of room for taller items, like say that wine bottle or, the milk. We also get so much use out of our ice maker that stores over 4 lbs of ice! Hello endless frozen drinks!!
But here’s the really good stuff. Our Samsung fridge stores all the ingredients needed to make a great meatball that’s super easy plus kid and picky husband approved!
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 4 tbsp milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup Italian style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
This recipe yields enough meatballs for two meals, approximately 60-70. Cut recipe in half if you’re only wanting to prepare enough for one meal. You can also substitute the ground beef for ground turkey, the result is equally as good! Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper–this makes clean up a breeze. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, being sure to combine well. Spoon out meat mixture and shape into small balls, no larger than 1 inch in diameter. I think their petite size it what makes them so appealing to the kids. This might not seem like a mini meatball to some, but I’m used to giant sized Italian meatballs where one is basically an entire meal. Place on baking sheet and back for 20 minutes.
Now that you have all of these delicious baby meatballs, what to do with them? As mentioned above this recipe will yield plenty of meatballs for at least two meals. I like to keep the extras in the fridge for another meal later in the week or even put some in the freezer to add to a pot of sauce at another time. Top with a slice of fresh mozzarella and a basil leave to serve as an easy appetizer. I’m also sharing three meal ideas.
We love these meatballs added to spaghetti and sauce. And I’ll share a tip with you. If there’s no time for homemade sauce, that’s totally ok. Spruce up your favorite jar sauce with diced red pepper, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, mix in a little Parmesan and add some red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.
Another favorite way we like to enjoy these mini meatballs is in Italian wedding soup. That recipe will have to be another post, but a quick search and you’re sure to find a great option. What surprised me most about this meal is that the kids devoured it with no complaints! Again, it has to be the meatballs in their mini form. The kids just love them!
Who can resist a good meatball grinder? Even more so when its loaded with irresistible mini meatballs, melted mozzarella cheese and your favorite sauce. This is a go to in our home and another meal everyone loves!
I hope you’ll enjoy these meatballs as much as we do and if you think of any other creative meals to add them to, I’d love for you to share in the comments below.
